  • Decluttering – When we talk about house cleaning, this should be the first step always. Every house has lots of clutter that needs to be cleared out. Before you begin with the house cleaning process, make sure you pick up all the clutter from all the rooms and either filter it out, throw it away if it needs to be or simply donate it.
  • Make a Cleaning System – If you wish to get more results with less effort then follow a system for cleaning. Do not think of doing room wise cleaning, rather plan it doing task wise. For instance, first, do dusting in all rooms, then start vacuuming and at last, do the mopping. It is always better to first complete one task in all rooms, then move on to the second task.
  • Have a Cleaning Caddy – How about having all your cleaning essentials ready by your side at one place? Isn’t it great? If you make a cleaning caddy or bucket with all the tools and cleaning essentials, then it will save you time and make your house cleaning more efficient. You can move around in the house with all the tools and cleaners handy with you.
  • Do Dusting and Vacuuming – After cleaning the clutter, start with the dusting process. Before you begin with dusting make sure to turn off all the electronic systems. It is best to do dusting with a microfiber cloth. Focus on dusting off all furniture surfaces, both sides of all shelves, picture frames, TV screens, bedsides, wall paintings, windows, and blinds. Also, make sure to change your bedsheets before moving on to vacuuming. Then start with the vacuum process and do it in all the rooms.
  • Clean mirrors and glass – After you are done with dusting and vacuuming, next comes cleaning all mirrors and glass components. For this, you need to take a damp microfiber cloth and a glass cleaner in a spray bottle. Spray the cleaner on the surface and wipe off with a damp cloth. Afterwards, take a dry microfiber cloth and wipe off all cleaned surfaces with it once again.
  • Use Disinfectant for some surfaces – This is an important step in the house cleaning process. There are so many places in every home that are frequently touched by various members of a family and act as germ-spots. Make sure you go through the entire house and wipe off all such hard surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, cabinets, countertops, TV, and AC remotes, etc. It would be much better if you wipe off some surfaces with a disinfectant cleaner to clean all the germs residing there.
  • Do not forget Tubs, Sinks and Toilets – These three places are like a second home for germs, viruses, and bacteria. So, make sure to clean and scrub these places with a disinfectant cleaner. Spray the cleaner on these areas and let it sit for some time. This will allow dirt, thick grease and hard stains to dissolve. Meanwhile, you can perform other cleaning activities. After some time, scrub these surfaces and then wipe them off with water or a damp cloth.
  • Disinfect the Garbage Disposal area – This is also one more germ prone area. Make sure to clean your garbage disposal area very well with a disinfectant cleaner. Always try to keep this area hygienic and well maintained.
  • Remove Pet Odours – If you have pets at home, then your carpet must be filled with pet hairs and their odour. To remove this odour, you can make a natural cleaner. Pour some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it on the carpet area. Then sprinkle some baking soda on a vinegar-soaked carpet area. Let it dry for some time. Later on, vacuum off the excess baking soda so that your carpet feels fresh again.
  • Use a Meter Stick - It is always troublesome to reach high or hard-to-reach areas. In this case, you can fit a sock into one and tie it with a rubber band. It will prove a great handy tool to reach onto high surfaces and under beds and furniture.
  • Clean Fridge Coils – Remove the fridge's kick plate and vacuum the hair and fur around the coils. This will take of two things, one it will make your fridge cleaner, and two, it will make the fridge run efficiently, saving a lot on your electricity bills.
